Sounds of July

This month was meant for slow-burn indie rock songs with a slight mix of upbeat windows-rolled-down jams. My perfect playlist begins with an equally as perfect remix of The xx’s Angels by Huglife, which can be found here, since unfortunately Spotify did not have it. I love Etta James’ perfectly timeless voice which is flawlessly followed up by Ray LaMontagne. After that, it is your usual indie round-up with The Neighbourhood’s song from The Amazing Spiderman 2, Of Monsters and Men, Local Natives, The Kooks, GROUPLOVE, and Bastille. On top of this amazing mix I had to add in some new favorites like Rudimental and Best Coast as well as some longtime favorites like Arkells, Charli XCX, Frank Ocean, and City and Colour. Enjoy.
