Fall In Love: Three Outfits for Valentine’s Day

Fall In Love: Three Outfits for Valentine’s Day
love is nauseating… mostly

Valentine’s Day is right around the corner. I know, that seems scary especially if you are like me and don’t have a valentine. Not having a valentine isn’t so bad though, because you can buy yourself flowers and/or chocolate and binge on the Netflix show of YOUR choice!
In all honesty though, Valentine’s Day is kind of a fun day, because even if you don’t have a significant other, everyone seems to be extra kind and lovely. I personally like V-Day because I can dress a bit more girly than I usually would. I love adding a splash of pink to my outfit that day and spreading some loving cheer.
I decided to put together three different looks to inspire your Valentine’s Day look. Each look is for a different occasion and has a different theme so hopefully you can rock one of these styles this February 14th.
1. Casual Cool
This look is for the lonely heart on V-Day. Rock a pair of joggers with a graphic tee and cozy cardigan for the perfect warm and cuddly combo. This outfit is perfect for a night in alone, with your friends, or even if you and your significant other have a date with Netflix. To add interest to the outfit, put on a statement necklace and add some fun color. Even if you aren’t going anywhere, you can still feel cute and dress up a bit with accessories. Keeping your makeup casual and natural is always a plus too for a night in. If you must make a run to the grocery store add a pair of cute tennis shoes or some casual combat boots.

2. Simple Chic
This next look is super easy and incorporates elements you probably already have in your wardrobe. Since it is Valentine’s Day, adding a splash of pink to your outfit is a fun way to celebrate the occasion. I like the pairing of the sweater and boyfriend jeans because this outfit is comfortable but also cute. Add more depth with a nice deep red color in your accessories or makeup. I love this cocktail ring which you can combine with other smaller rings. Adding simple accessories is a nice way to add more interest to this look without making it too dressy. Another nice addition to the outfit is these tan wedges from Toms. Wearing wedges or a slightly dressier shoe makes the outfit a bit more girly and romantic. This is the perfect look for a casual V-Day date like going to a museum, just being out and about, or for a casual lunch.

3. Valentine’s Day Vixen
This last outfit is one of my favorites. This is much more dressy than the other outfits and is perfect for a romantic dinner with your significant other or even a classy Galentine’s dinner (any Parks & Rec fans out there?). I am loving minimalistic dresses these days, so this t-shirt style dress is perfect. The color is the perfect mixture of a blushy-pink and a nude. Since the dress is simple, this is the perfect opportunity to go crazy with accessories. I love adding black and silver accessories to add a bit of edge to this look. Black booties or black pumps are a great choice since they are simple and classic. A trendy black coat is a nice contrast to the simplicity of the rest of the look and can add more interesting textures and silhouettes. For jewelry I love layering necklaces like the shorter one and longer one pictured. Other than layered necklaces, a simple statement bracelet is a nice addition. For a more fun look, I love this ear cuff which is super trendy and cool. A last minute daring touch to your look could include a deep red lip like this one from NARS, which is super romantic and sexy.

Whatever your Valentine’s Day plans are, enjoy the day. Even if you’re single, there are so many fun ways to make the most of the holiday. I hope these looks could provide you with some inspiration for creating your own Valentine’s Day look!
