Sounds of October

What do you know, I can stick to at least one of my promises. Here’s October’s playlist comin’ at ya early and I would say it’s pretty quality. This playlist was more carefully curated than September’s which was haphazardly thrown together with songs I had been into that month.

I don’t know exactly what the genre of this playlist is, but its definitely electro-pop moody vibes which in my opinion is perfect for the officially changing weather. Curl up with a cup of hot tea, a pack of oreos (or other indulgent snack that’s bad for your health), and listen to some soothing music.

If you haven’t discovered The Japanese House yet, you’re seriously missing out. They’re on the same record label as The 1975 so they are sure to be great. In addition to one of their newer songs, there are some familiar faces on this playlist, some people just can’t stay away (I’m lookin’ at you CHVRCHES, Halsey, and The Neighbourhood).

A lot of artists have been releasing new music or are about to drop new albums which makes me feel like a kid on Christmas because I love new music. November’s playlist is bound to be stacked with some new stuff from a lot of my recurring favorites.

I also included a few of my long-time favorites like Two Door Cinema Club and Empire of the Sun which give me major throwbacks to three years ago.

Explore, listen, and share the cool vibes and enjoy the spoopy (spooky+creepy, I hate myself) month of October.

  1. Interesting piece of music, which gives me an idea of what others listen to during this fall season. For me, I too love cuddling up with a cozy blanket and listening to music that fits my content mood. My tastes are in the same zone, so you should definitely check out some of these artists for your November playlist.

The National (a great band that also has a song titled Mr. November)
Tame Impala (known by most, but still highly underrated)
Jake Bugg (A particularly broody boy who is perfect for the coldest of days)

P.S. They’re all amazing with cold weather.
